Nylon in Underwear Part 2

Continued from...Nylon in Underwear

As we know, cotton excels at picking up moisture. Cotton boxers absorb some of the moisture from the body, and as they are loose, the absorption keeps that moisture away from the skin. Check out boxers vs. briefs.

Circle back to the comparing nylon with cotton.

As the cotton underwear is great at moisture collection, nylon is at the opposite end of the spectrum. Nylon underwear does not do anything with the moisture produced by the body. The moisture just leaks throughout the nylon material and either dries on the material or gets absorbed by the article of clothing next to the nylon material. As the nylon does not absorb anything, the natural bacteria can cause a smell that can linger around the nylon covered area. The inner thighs get slick, resulting in the potential for chaff.

Read about some developments in nylon underwear. and some ways that are being used to make nylon more user friendly.
