Nylon in Underwear Part 1...

How soft can you get? That is a question the clothing manufacturers have been wrestling with for as far back as anyone can remember. Marco Polo and other explorers traveled around the world trying to find a better way to bet to China and India to import silk. As a race, we try to minimize discomfort. Fabrics made from all different sources have been used to manufacture materials that could be made into the fashion pieces available to wear. One of these sources is nylon; a man-made material. Nylon material can be soft, it is durable, light, and inexpensive. Therefore, depending on the manufacture process, nylon underwear can be very soft and comfortable.

There have been advances in manufacturing that have propelled the use of nylon to making various shapes and styles of underwear. Nylon is combined with other materials to produce a more custom blend and feel of fabric. The fabric itself has been around for a long time, and the uses for it are numerous and varied. It is strong enough to make seat belts. It is durable enough to make sneakers. The fabrics formed from it can be used in clothing articles from belts to shirts, slacks, pants, jackets and socks to name a few. The fabrics made of nylon can be any color or pattern, and the best thing about this is the colors do not fade or leak with washing
My first experience with nylon made underwear was with the purchase of both boxer briefs and soft briefs made by Jockey. They were extremely soft, and the thought was that these would take to place of the cotton briefs I normally purchased. They were comfortable. The boxer briefs conformed to the shape of the body. The boxer briefs did not swish around and get bunched or move to awkward positions like regular boxers. All of the body parts stayed in place, secured by the fitted boxer briefs. But there was a downside as compared to cotton.
