Inventive uses for nylon in the manufacture of underwear is now the norm.  With the supply chain of retail companies going global, the manufactures that are part of the supply chain are continuing to innovate to attract more customers.  Hopefully, it is the consumer that benefits from this.  But I digress.

are a modern version of polyester. The Chinese have dubbed this material "ice silk". The fabric is smooth to touch and feels very soft on the skin.

Pair #1

I had a chance to try a couple of different brands of ice silk underwear.  The first style I reviewed is the pink one shown above.  The first thing you notice is how smooth, light, and soft the underwear is. There is no doubt that these are a comfortable pair of underwear.  The item is composed of two pieces of fabric sewn together with the seam on the sides.  The front pouch area is formed by mechanically stretching the fabric so that it forms a bubble.  This allows for enough space for your privates to have room to sit comfortably.  The result is a splendid feeling of supreme softness. Because the front bubble is manufactured and not sewn, there is no seam to cause any irritation.

The new style of underwear out of China that seems to be gaining traction, is a material they call "ice silk".  This is a nylon fabric that is very soft, and can be very thin.  It comes in a variety of colors.  The theme for this year's colors seem to be pastels.  We might start to see these on Amazon and other websites that sell underwear.

Pair #2

The second ice silk item reviewed had a different spin on their product.  They tried to address some of the problems that I mentioned in my blog titled Nylon in Underwear.  They added in some details that while it increases the cost slightly, they ultimately make the product more applicable to a broader customer base.  The biggest detail added was a graphene piece of cloth that is sewn onto the front pouch.  According to the manufacturer, the graphene pouch is there to stop bacteriostasis.  This anti-bacterial patch also allows for the areas natural moisture to be removed and any bacteria present to be neutralized by the graphene element within the fabric.  The main body of the underwear was similar in feel to the pair discussed above.  I do have to acknowledge that the pair that I received did run a bit small.

Conclusion

Overall, this underwear is just one example of the modern era of new styles to come.  The ice silk material is smooth, silky, and very comfortable.  It ranges in thickness from normal, to almost transparent.  But, they fall short of natural fibers.  The graphene layer on the front pouch is a nice touch, and it does solve some of the issues inherent in polyester underwear.. They are a pleasant change in underwear, and are recommended if you have a little playful side.  As they are very thin, they do adapt to your contours, And some of the styles have added an anti-bacteria layer for extra protection.  My recommendation is to get underwear from RuanMante or Sheath.  They use premium modal material and their styles are fashionable.
